Patrick Forrest, MD

President and Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Forrest joined Anesthesia Medical Group (AMG), the founding practice of PhyMed, in 1999 and led the formation of PhyMed in 2012. Over the past 20 years, he has held numerous leadership and administrative roles within the company including Chief of Anesthesia, President of AMG, Chief Medical Officer of PhyMed and PhyMed Board member. Dr. Forrest obtained his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed an anesthesiology residency and cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellowship at Emory University.

Christie Carlisle

Chief People Officer

Ms. Carlisle manages Human Resources, Organizational Development and Credentialing departments at PhyMed. Prior to joining PhyMed, she was the Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development for Renal Advantage Inc. when the company grew from a $250 million to a $1 billion company.

 

 

Steve Mason

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Mason is responsible for the overall operations of the company. With more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience across a multitude of corporate and practice settings, he has extensive knowledge of hospital operations, practice management, revenue cycle, and contracting. Prior to joining PhyMed, Mr. Mason was VP of the Audit Division for Managed Care Advisory Group. He has also previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for Practice Management Resources. This comprehensive background well positions Mason to drive the company forward.

Dr. Arthur Runyon-Hass

Chief Quality Officer

Dr. Runyon-Hass has been involved, both formally and informally, with quality, patient safety and clinical education initiatives for many years. In addition, he brings extensive leadership experience to the role, having served as Chief of Anesthesia at Centennial Medical Center, Director of the Advanced Joint Replacement Institute at St. Thomas Midtown and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia, among many other positions.

Dr. Runyon-Hass completed his undergraduate studies at The College of Wooster in Ohio and earned a PhD in Experimental Pathology from the University of Chicago. He subsequently obtained his medical degree from the University of Chicago, followed by an anesthesia residency with additional cardiac anesthesia training at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.

Thomas C. Thomas, MD

Chief Clinical Compliance Officer

Dr. Thomas has been a partner physician with AMG since 1990. He manages the implementation of compliance policies and procedures and ensures corporate compliance with federal, state and local policies. Dr. Thomas has served in many leadership positions, including Chief of Anesthesiology at St. Thomas Hospital from 1992 to 2000, medical director of St. Thomas Surgicare (an outpatient surgery center) from 2002 to the present and member of the AMG Board of Directors from 1996 to 2012.
